What we collect and why

When you make a purchase

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider and merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects your name, email address, and payment details. We receive a summary of the transaction (order ID, plan, amount, email) so we can fulfill your order and provide support. We never see or store your full card number.

When you contact us

If you submit the contact form on our site, we receive the name, email, and message you provide. This is handled by Formspree and forwarded to our support inbox. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry.

Website analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how visitors use our site (page views, referral sources, general geography). We do not use invasive tracking pixels or sell visitor data.

The WordPress plugin itself

The Project LLMs.txt plugin runs entirely on your WordPress server. It does not send any data about your site's content, visitors, or users back to us. Pro license validation makes a single API call to our licensing server containing only your license key and your site's domain - no personal data, no content.

How we use your information

• To deliver the product you purchased and send your receipt
• To validate Pro licenses and provide license management
• To respond to support requests
• To send transactional emails related to your order (receipts, renewal notices)

We do not sell your data. We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Lemon Squeezy - payment processing and licensing. Their privacy policy is at lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.
• Formspree - contact form submissions. Their privacy policy is at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
• Cloudflare - website hosting and CDN. Their privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Data retention

We retain order and license records for as long as necessary to provide support and comply with legal obligations (typically 7 years for financial records). Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email us at support@projectllmstxt.com. For payment data, you will need to contact Lemon Squeezy directly.

Cookies

Our marketing site uses minimal cookies, primarily for site functionality. The Lemon Squeezy checkout overlay may set cookies for fraud prevention and session management. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
